Privacy policy
Version: 2026-09-06
Introduction
This policy explains what personal data the platform collects when you use it, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to students, guardians and teachers. Read it alongside the Terms of Service, which you accept when you create an account.
Data we collect
• Account details you give us: name, email address, mobile number, and — for students — school, governorate, grade and academic stream. • Learning activity: the courses you enrol in, the lessons you open, how much of each video you watch, quiz answers and scores, assignment submissions, notes and bookmarks. • Wallet and payment records: top-ups, purchases, coupon and scratch-card use, and the resulting balance. We do not store card numbers. • Sign-in and device records: the date and time of each sign-in, the IP address it came from, and the browser and operating system your device reports. These records are what the limit on how many devices one account may use is based on. • Messages you send us through support tickets or the community forum.
How we use your data
We use your data to give you access to the courses you have bought, to record your progress and grades, to take payment and keep an accurate wallet balance, to answer your support requests, to send you service messages about your account, and to detect account sharing. Videos carry a watermark tied to your account, which is what lets a leaked recording be traced back to the account that made it. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Why we are allowed to process it
We process most of this data because it is necessary to provide the service you asked for. Sign-in records, device limits and video watermarking we process to protect the platform and the teachers who publish on it. Where we rely on your consent you may withdraw it at any time by contacting support, although withdrawing consent for data that is necessary to run your account means closing the account.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary with the providers who run parts of this service on our behalf: the video platforms that host and stream lessons, the email provider that sends account messages, and the hosting provider that runs the database. Each acts on our instructions only. We also disclose data where the law requires it. Your teachers see your enrolment, progress, grades and submissions on their own courses, and nothing about your activity on anyone else's.
Cookies
This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work: one that keeps you signed in, one that remembers your chosen language, and one that protects forms against cross-site request forgery. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Blocking the necessary cookies will stop you signing in.
How long we keep it
Account, enrolment, progress and payment records are kept for as long as your account is open, because they are what your access to purchased courses is based on. Sign-in and device records are deleted automatically after three months. When an account is closed its records are deleted, except where we are required to keep financial records for tax and accounting purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to receive a copy of it, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data erased, and to object to processing. You can download a copy of your account data and delete your account from the Personal Data page in your account settings; for anything else, contact us through the support page. We answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer you may complain to the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Centre.
Students under 15
Egyptian law requires a guardian's consent before the personal data of a child under 15 may be processed. If you are under 15, ask your parent or guardian to create and manage the account for you. If you believe a child under 15 holds an account their guardian did not agree to, contact support and we will remove it.
How we protect it
Passwords are stored only as salted hashes and are readable by nobody, including us. Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit. Teachers' video-provider credentials are encrypted at rest with a key tied to this specific deployment. Access to the production database is restricted to the operators who need it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy in a way that affects you, we publish the new version with a new version stamp and ask you to accept it the next time you sign in. The version currently in force is shown at the top of this page.
Contact us
For any question about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights above, contact us through the support page. We will ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request about a specific account.
